1. How do we get there?
Fly... Pacific Coastal to Anahim Lake; Tweedsmuir Air will pick you up at the airport then fly you out to Turner Lake from Nimpo Lake.
Drive... take Highway 97 to Williams Lake and head west on Highway 20 to Nimpo Lake, then Tweedsmuir Air will fly you out to Turner Lake from Nimpo Lake.

2. How many pounds (kilograms) of luggage can we bring?
The Cessna 185s can take 700 lbs (315 kg) total of persons and/or cargo; the Beavers can take 1,250 lbs (563 kg) total of persons and/or cargo. Softside duffels only please!

3. Are those aircraft rates per person or per plane load?
Posted rates are per plane load... one way.

4. When do we need to book?
We recommend you book as soon as possible... especially if you are limited on the dates you can come. However, never assume it's too late... always call before you give up your plans.

5. What kind of fishing is there?
Exclusively wild cutthroat trout... initially backpacked up to the Turner Lake chain by Ralph Edwards of Lonesome Lake back in the 1930s.

6. What kind of gear do we need to bring?
The lightest gear is the best. This is a fly fisher's paradise; as well, light gear for spincasting is acceptable. Absolutely NO bait! Catch and release is encouraged and, of course, all hooks should be single and barbless.

7. How far are the portages?
Anywhere from 330 yards (300 m) to 1,095 yards (1 km).

8. How much do the canoes weigh?
The canoes weigh from 60 to 70 lbs (27 to 32 kg).

9. Do you supply canoe wheels or trolleys?
No... and the trails are NOT suitable for wheels or trolleys, so come prepared to carry your canoe over the portages.

10. When is it the busiest?
August.

11. When is it the least busy?
June.

12. Are there bears in the area?
Yes, however, we provide bear caches at each campsite.

13. Is there free parking for our vehicle at Stewart's Lodge?
Yes.

14. Are there cabins to rent at Stewart's Lodge before and after our Tweedsmuir Wilderness Camp experience?
Yes... starting at $99.00 per night, based on two people. You should confirm availability of cabins with Stewart's Lodge prior to finalizing arrangements for your trip.

15. How much will it cost us?
Please refer to the rates posted on this web site.

16. What amount of deposit do you want?
25% upon booking your trip.
